Reshape Your Summer
As the warm weather rolls in, dreams and plans of leaving the city can start to fill the minds and hearts of many New Yorkers. The hustle, the crunch, the drama and the loneliness of our city press in on us, and so there are seasons, for the sake of our mental and spiritual health that we need to be refreshed by escaping to the beach or the forest for a while.
While that is good and helpful and even necessary, what could it look like to have our vision of summer, refreshment and sabbath be shaped in part by blessing others?
Trellis is in conversation with many organizations doing great work in blessing others, particularly the at-risk kids and families who don't have access to the resources and finances that allow them to escape the harsh realities of our city.
As a way to support these organizations and serve these families that form the backbone and history of our city, we are highlighting ways to RESHAPE YOUR SUMMER by taking a morning, a day, a weekend, a week, a month or even your whole summer to be refreshed through blessing
We start by highlighting, Mont Lawn Camp, a ministry through the Bowery Mission
And so to see these 1000's of kids blessed and encouraged, Mont Lawn needs counselors who will reshape their summer plans around being refreshed though blessing kids from around the city as they come and learn to swim and meet a God who made them and loves them.
