New Family Site Webpage on Remote Learning for Multilingual and MLLs/ELLs

The DOE Learn-at-Home page now has information dedicated to supporting our Multilingual Learners and English Language Learners and their families with remote learning. This page includes educational resources on supporting children’s language development at home as well as resources on obtaining e-books in multiple languages.

Remote Learning Devices The DOE is working with Apple and T-Mobile to ensure that in the coming weeks, students who don’t currently have an internet-enabled device will have one for schoolwork at home while schools are closed. iPads will be distributed on a rolling basis until all needs are filled. Wellness and Mental Health in the midst of the pandemic

The Emotional Support Line provides free and confidential support, helping callers experiencing increased anxiety due to the coronavirus emergency. The Help Line is staffed by volunteers, including mental health professionals, who have received training in crisis counseling.

RHOW Brooklyn continues to provide hot breakfasts and coffee to-go Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9-10am and a grocery pantry bag to-go Saturdays from 9-10:30am
