Loving Teens on the Courts of New York
As the warm days increase and as school sets to close for another year, teens will flood neighborhood basketball courts all around New York. They will hit the courts to show their skills, escape their cares and struggles and seek the acceptance and accolades of their peers.
Street 2 Street builds on this by organizing basketball tournaments in communities all around New York where these teenagers meet coaches and volunteers who will take a weekend to cheer them on and spend time with them. It is through the tournaments and moments with the volunteers, that these students can be introduced to the One who made us and loves us not because of our skills on the court, One who promises to redeem and restore the brokenness and who doesn't abandon us when things go bad or get hard.
Will you take a weekend to cheer on teens around the city? No hoop skills are required, just a willingness to give time and kind words. Find out more how HERE
